Temping?? Updated with chart and another question??
Does anyone else get stressed out when temping or just me.
I have set my alarm clock to 5:30 to try to keep it consistent, but I find that I wake up earlier and then can't fall back asleep because all I think about it my temp. (then I worry anout the accuracy)
Then, my DH turns the AC on and off all night, could this effect it???
Anyway, today I took my temp at 5:30 on disturbed sleep and then after I slept another 3 hours a took it again and it was so different. (the later the higher right?)
Plus-if I still see ewcm, I most likely didn't o yet right???
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Update:
I figured out how to post!
Anyway, is fertility friend ever off my a day? It is saying a o'd 3 days ago after todays temp posting, could this be? If this is the case, this cycle may be a bust already because we only started bding two days ago. I thought I o'd yesterday.

i did not get stressed when temping - try not to think about it so much and just do it; it will become part of your normal morning routine
the a/c will not have an effect on your body temperature; just as the hot weather doesnt give you a fever - KWIM?
If you still see ewcm; you are probably about to or "o"ing now
do you have a chart to post?

i tend to get stressed on the weekends when temping - because i worry about the 3 hours of constant sleep thing....
did you just start temping this month?
i can tell you that it will get easier!

That happens to me sometimes also.
If I end up waking up earlier than expected (like this morning!) then I will take my temp then and try to go back to sleep, then temp again when I wake up. I then use the temp corrector on FF and enter in BOTH temps and times.
For example, I normally temp at 5:45.
This morning I woke up at 4:40 and didn't know if I'd be able to fall back asleep so I took my temp. It was 97.69. Then I DID fall back asleep and woke up at 6:00. I took my temp again and it was 97.72. I put these into the temp corrector on FF and it gave me 97.71 as my temp so that is what I put in my chart.

i wake up a lot in the night, i try to take my temp about 6:00 but sometimes my dog will wake me at 5 i get up and let him in the backyard and go back to bed, wake up at 6 and take my temp and i still see the patterns you are supposed to see, so i wouldn't worry so much about the uninterrupted sleep especially if you are not getting out of bed

Thanks for your advice ladies, this is such a stressful process!
Also, how does the whole coverline thing work. Does the first shift have to be above coverline to imply ovulation?
My last few temps have shifted up, but they are still not above coverline? I also still say EWCM today, another indicator that O may not have taken place.

Hey, I can't because I'm not a VIP member. My temps have not jumped any higher then they have been since I started temping this month. Therefore, although they jumped the past few days, they were around the same degrees a week ago. Today is cycle day 19 for me and I have about an average of a 33 day cycle. I'm thinking I might be oing today.
I also had a positive OPK Saturday and Sunday. But from what my doctor thinks, I'm oing later then my opk's are telling me (2-3 days later). He basically told me to stop using it all and seems to be confident with temping. I told him a brief history of my cycle length and when I think I'm oing and he seems to think I have it all wrong! He wants me to chart for two months and then go see him with the charts so he can analyze them and tell me when I'm actually oing. I always thought I had an extra long Lphase (16 days), but he seems to think I'm oing later then I think and therefore have been missing my optimal fertility chances. He says a LPhase is 14 days?????
Anyhow, until I bring him some charts, he can't tell me anything
Sorry to ramble, but this is all so confusing to me! You seem to have it down pat-I'm really hoping this is it for you!

Are you sure you can't post the chart?
If you're looking at your own chart, try right clicking and select View Image, then copy the image location from there, and try to paste that.

Then you can put it in paint and save it, then upload it to your album.

I'm no expert at reading charts yet, but I think I agree with FF's O date for you.
What made you think you O'd yesterday?
When I look at your 2 +OPKs and your temp shift, it makes me agree with FF's date.

I still had ewcm yesterday and I thought that dries up on the day of O or day after o. Plus, my cycles are an average of 33 days, and my doc seems to think I'm oing later then I think. Well, If I O'd Sunday, I guess I could count myself out already. DH was away, so we did not get to bd until Monday morning. This kind of stinks!

hmm, this is tough. i think i agree with you in that you o'd yesterday.
according to TCOYF, the most important day to BD is the LAST day of EWCM (called your peak day). if you had it yesterday, then you are still okay.
it's a little confusing b/c of your temps (you have 2 temp jumps) and your +OPK. i don't use OPKs but i am pretty sure that means you will O within 12-36 hours from the +.
