terrible migraines-neurologist?
I have been having terrible migraines, I'm so sensitive to light, my eyes are killing me and every now and then I get a bad pain in the back of my neck. I called a neurologist and they won't see me until February! I've had this for about 4 days, it's literally making me sick to my stomach. Does anyone ever have this problem and can anyone recommend a newrologist? Thanks for any advice!

Rich saw Dr Cecily Anto in Hauppauge for his migraines/cluster headaches.
Feel better!

Re: terrible migraines-neurologist?
I can not even function with a migraine. Often they are so bad I wake up in the middle of the night crying and begging my husband to get me something because I feel like my head is going to explode.
I did see a neurologist a long time ago. He did a whole bunch of tests and it basically came down to I am a migraine sufferer. I went to a chriopractor for many years and it really helped elivate a lot of the occurances.
Now I have it controlled. It seems to be mostly environmental and I can always tell when it's coming on. I have a gel eye pack I put on and basically just lay in bed in silence. Even certain foods can trigger it. If I have too much caffeinne - boom instant migraine.
The best way to handle it is try to control it as much as possible. Sugars, chocolates, peanuts, eggs, dust, and even light.
