TERRIFIED of going into labor before my c-section
I'm feeling very good about the fact that I'm having a scheduled c-section, but something in the back of my mind is telling me that I'm going to go into labor before my scheduled date...
I just know that if there is back labor involved, I will NOT be able to take it. My neurologist told me that if I were to go into labor for long enough or try to give birth vaginally, I risk having the other part of my disc rupture out into my nerve, possibly cutting off blood supply to the nerve and compromising my ability to walk 
I'm hoping this is just an irrational fear, but this is what has been on my mind lately.

i am so truly sorry....I wish i could say something to alleviate your fears.
In the 'heat of the moment' - at an ER - you may not be able to get 'across' the point of your problem.
Would it be silly to type something up to give the admissions people about this worry (with as much technical jargon possible)???
If not - i'm sorry for my silly suggestion...

How far in advance did they schedule you for the c-sec?
Also, they do emergency c-sections all the time. God forbid of early labor, they could always do that, no?

In your situation I would imagine that if you did go into labor before they would give you an emergency c section anyway. I would talk to your doctor about that possibility to ease your fears!

Awww Beth!!!! How preggos are you when you go for you c-section? Are they taking her a little early just in case? I'm sure your ob knows about all this stuff

Well, the good thing is that most labors start pretty slowly. I was in labor for 19 hours before my son was born, so you should have plenty of time to get to the hospital and get your C-section.
I had back labor and back pain was a sign of early labor for me, so if you start to feel uncomfortable, call your doctor.
