Re: Texting + driving = $150 DWT fine in Suffolk
one cell phone ticket. That's all it took for me. I never do it now..and I don't text at all.
I can't imagine texting while driving.
It's like trying to eat spare ribs and driving.

I don't see how you can text and drive. I can barely do it while sitting in my office

Re: Texting + driving = $150 DWT fine in Suffolk
I got pulled over when I was 18 before the hands free came into play.. but i was on my speaker phone. The cop told me I should have 2 hands on the wheel. I didn't disagree with him, but I said why can't I hold my phone in my hand and talk but people can smoke while driving.
All he said to me was "good point, I don't know"
I text at stoplights or I voice text...

It's like trying to eat spare ribs and driving.
Yet far less satisfying.

way less..if I was going to do something while driving, eating spare ribs is a good choice..there are others that are better as well.

Re: Texting + driving = $150 DWT fine in Suffolk
seriously if you can't wait until you're at your destination to text, you have issues. nothing is so important that you have to put your life and others in jeopardy. use a hands free and make a call if you must, but a text??? give me a break. no one is "good" at it...it is a distraction no matter how "good" you are at it.
things like this make me so angry. texting isn't important in life!!!!! you don't have a RIGHT to text and drive a thousand pound vehicle at a high rate of speed.
talk to maybebaby whose sister lost her BEST FRIEND to a horrible car accident because she STUPIDLY was texting and driving. she lost her life...all for a freaking text
