Thank you Liza! Went to Caumsett Park yesterday!
Just wanted to thank Liza for recommending Caumsett State Park in Lloyd Neck. I remember her posting pictures from a hike there and kept it in the back of my mind of a place I wanted to check out. Well yesterday DH and I had no plans and it was gorgeous out so we decided to check it out. And wow what a fabulous little gem. Perfect walking/hiking/biking trails and gorgeous scenery. Great for a little day trip and totally free to attend as long as you are a NY State resident. So thanks Liza! I would definitely recommend this park to anyone looking to be outdoors!

Awww - I'm so glad you liked it - its a regular stomping ground for us!!!!
It would probably be a great place to run, too! Now that you and I are runners  we should go together before it gets too cold!!!!

I totally wish I lived closer I would make that my new workout spot. There is something awesome about working out with nature surrounding you.

You should also check out Blydenburgh Park. There is a small parking lot across from the H Lee Dennison Bldg and it has miles of wooded paths-really neat-there is a lake in there. Also Hoyt Frams has a decent about 1.5 mile path through the woods around a lake-you can see the animals etc
