Re: Thank you Theresa and Joe Guidice (not)
I would not be surprised if Theresa ends up turning states evidence against her husband. He will likely end up serving serious time, and then be deported if he is not a citizen. She may pay a fine and do a few months, but be there for her kids. They have two attorneys because they have different interests from one another. They will loose all of the homes and any monies they have. They have royally hurt their children and it is all very sad. I for one am glad that there are hoops that banks make everyone jump through. I wonder whether someone at the banks are complicit in their scheme.

I know a "connected" friend in the construction biz with almost the same situation, only on a much smaller scale. She was spared, he did the time & when he got out.. he had 48 hours to book his flight. They now all live in Sicily but continue to live the good life because he didn't & wouldn't rat out any bigger fish that were involved. The Feds did not offer any plea's so I doubt Juicey & Theresa are getting out of this one.

As much as obtaining a home loan can be a nightmare (been there myself.. Even though I didnt have any issues), I think it's good they make you jump thru hoops. Not only does it keep lenders safe, but also homeowners from ending up way over their heads.
I absolutly agree with you.
However, its because there is so much fraud (re: This story) that its even HARDER.
I think people need to be protected from being in over their head. I do. But its because of people like THEM that its THAT much HARDER.
I don't agree with you. It's because shady mortgage lenders approved people that should never have been approved in the first place. And these same lenders didn't give people enough information about the types of loans they were taking and what would happen when their rates reset. It's important that people are qualified for the mortgage they are taking and even though it's a PITA it's a good thing that it's hard.

Rich people don't need to committ mortgage fraud- just saying
Rich people just have expensive advisors to get them loop holes!
Haha, exactly!
They weren't rich to begin with. Smoke in mirrors...
exactly my point- they are not RICH people or even close

someone at the bank would have to be- this happened alot- I just listed a house for a girl whose "uncle" sold her the house and got her a $400K mortgage plus a $200k ballon loan when she made $48K a year- no money down- I couldn't even follow along with the paperwork and I do this for a living
she also had no lawyer looking out for her- the story makes me sick
they usually go after the lenders for this
I am pretty sure all the houses but the one they live in are gone already

I agree- it needs to be hard and always should be hard to borrow that kind of money
I wont even look at a pre-approval unless the lender actually looked a documents and didn't just take your word for what you say you make

The problem with them is that they claimed to have a ton of money when they didn't. Teresa forged W2 and paystubs. SHe said she had jobs when she didn't. It wasn't like they told the bank that they had no money and the bank gave them a 4 million mortgage.
They are screwed. The feds are no joke. They won't indict unless they have a rock solid case. If this was a state case, different story. They are both huge scumbags.

Re: Thank you Theresa and Joe Guidice (not)
you think Teresa came up with fake W2s on her own?
the "bankers" are the ones that usually made the docs

I would think with their parents being on a trashy reality show that they would have suffered enough already.
My thoughts exactly!

Totally know the same people I am not friends with them but I heard the story...unless there are more than one
