Thankful to be alive today...
Hi ladies. I want to post about this because I am desperately seeking someone who can relate.
In August, I was diagnosed and treated for an ectopic pregnancy. Because I had already bled substantially after passing what I thought was a sac, the methotrexate shot was only given after a D&C confirmed there was no evidence of a uterine pregnancy.
As my pre metho beta levels were over 3000, the doctors saw it as a success when my levels dropped drastically, reaching 30 by 4 weeks post treatment.
On Tuesday, over 5 weeks after the methotrexate, with a beta level of 0, my ectopic ruptured, sending me to the emergency with a distended belly filled with over 1/2 of my blood supply. I was minutes from death.
Emergency surgery removed my right tube. And saved my life.
I have so many questions and I am so desperate to find someone who has gone through any portion of my experience. I'm so angry with my doctor's office. Please FM me if you have anything to share so I can get a better grasp on the routine treatment practices here.

I'm so sorry, I didn't have an ectopic pregnancy, but I hope that you will be able to find the answers soon. And so happy you got to the emergency room in time, what a scary experience  .

First of I am so sorry u had to go through all of this!!!! OMG. How are u doing? I am so glad to hear they caught this right before this could of turned into a disaster.
I have never gone through this....but can only imagine what you are going through.

wow what a horrible thing to have happen to you! I just know when I went to the doctor for the first time they didn't see anything on the sono and checked my blood to make sure I didn't have an ectopic pregnancy..thank goodness it wasn't. But I can't believe what happend to you. I am so sorry and just wanted to send you

I am so sorry Lauren!
I had an eptopic pregnancy in March. i was also given a Mexthotrexate shot but did not have any complications.

Wow...what a scary ride! I cannot relate personally but I do know of someone who had a similar situation though, just not all the details. So sorry you had to go through that!
