Re: Thanksgiving parade
we will be there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited. I always went to the parade, that is what thanksgiving is to me. My brothers and sisters, cousins meeting up on the city side of the ferry 8 am and treking uptown.
Now that I get to do it with my little guy...let's just say DH and I got choked up at our thomas the train sighting....I can't wait for santa and buzz lightyear to pass us.
I am so happy that my parents will get to experience it with us as well...they miss out on a lot.
so we have our uggs and long johns. ready.

Re: Thanksgiving parade
I have gone every year since I was 4.
I missed the year I was pregnant and havent gone since my dd was born but I plan on starting the tradition again this year.
We used to get there at like 7 in the morning but thats because we were right outside Macys.
It is Thanksgiving to me as well. The best times of my life were at the parade, nothing compares!

Re: Thanksgiving parade
We are going this year - none of us have ever gone before but the Police Commissioner offered us tickets to this event they are hosting at the ESPN Zone for kids of Cops and Firemen. So, he asked if we wanted to bring Christopher - I wish Kenneth could come too but it'll just be us with Christopher this time around... there's always next year for Kenneth.
We are going to take the train in from New Jersey - it is a direct shot and very close (Ken's physical therapist told us). Then we just walk from Penn to the ESPN Zone which isn't that far from what the Commish said. It is indoors so we don't have to worry about standing outside for extended periods of time, there are tons of games for Christopher to play and a full breakfast buffet! We are very excited. Then, we'll go back to Kessler after the parade for our Boston Market Thanksgiving - which is being delivered

Re: Thanksgiving parade
My DH used to work for Macy's several years ago, and he would work in the parade handling the balloons and stuff. One year I went with my 2 sisters and my niece, and I will never do it again.
It.was.freeeeeeeeeezing!!!!!!!!!!
This year my DH will be working the parade as a police officer...so hopefully he'll be home in time for some turkey!!
