Thats it!! No more HPTs in the house...
Im done with these petty mind games 
from now on, I will not have a HPT in the house. If and ONLY when AF is late will I go out and buy just 1....
that is a promise I am making to myself if anyone is with me. Today is CD 32, 11 DPO...AF is due tomorrow and like a jerk I tested this morning and of course BFN
I guess Im not officially out yet but I better mentally prepare for next month. I should have just held out like I said I would

I know, I tried to promise myself the same thing this month.
LOL I caved in too, the day before AF was due and got a BFN. Now I am 2 days late and still NO AF. Such a mind game ever since i started to TTC My cycle seems to be all of the place. Never 28 days anymore, so now i never even know when i am late. WHich means boxes and boxes of test for me - can we say "A little compulsive"
Let's try to keep saying to each other "STEP AWAY FROM THE TEST"
I am with you- let's try for next month to not!

You do still have a good chance- it's not over till she shows up. A lot of people do not get their BFP till after their missed period

how about the First response Gold digital? I only bought digitals cause my brain couldn't handle the line...and I got my BFP somewhat before AF was due on that digital...when I couldnt' believe it and took one with a line it came back with a BFN...i then took another digital and it was positive! Worth the extra $$ in my book!

I won't keep them in the house anymore either. For some reason a BFN for me is worse then just getting AF.

This is my first month trying and today is 8dpo. Yup, I tested. Don't know why I know it is way to early. It's just having those hpts in the house it's too tempting.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I am so sick of BFN, i never keep tests at home anymore.
I know its tough but it will happen for all of us when the time is right. I was making myself sick over this and I can't keep that up. We will all be pregnant. Nothing good comes easy. Some people are luck and some just have to work harder.

it is definitely worse when you have the tests in the house.
i did the same thing and not buy any tests until i knew that it was "ok" to test.. and not early either.. but when AF is due.
its the only way to stay sane.. otherwise your mind goes bezerk.

i am bad. i am 12dpo and have already been through 5 tests. 
i don't even feel guilty about it; i am going out in a little bit to get some more!!

I think that those are great rules. However, I think b/c your being so patient with your rules there should be one more rule. It should be when all other above apply you buy one digital test. That way there is no guess work, and you don't have to play the is it a line or isn't it. You deserve the digital if you wait that long.

Yes, agreed, only digital from now on. Im still holding out some hope for this month. AF was due today and has been a no show. I think I will wait until Sunday and test again.
