the anxiety is getting to be too much..
i can't eat, sleep, and i'm crying ridiculously.. my c-section is scheduled for wednesday.. all of a sudden, i'm frightened, happy, excited, and angry all at once.. nothing is ready the way it should be, my husband is out of town on business. my daughter is going away for the week, and i want her here, and no one.. i mean NO ONE seems to understand how i feel..
i haven't gone to sleep before 4am for the past week.. the idea of my life changing is just so overwhelming. i don't know where to start.. just tonight i went to babies r us and spent 25 minutes trying to decide whether i needed swaddling diapers or extra dry diapers.. then 30 minutes looking for a coming home outfit.. and i almost broke down and cried trying to figure out what kind of bottle i need.. WHY are there so many different bottles? (my daughter is 8....and so independent) there was not this many options8yrs ago..
my husband is the sweetest, most kind, person anyone could meet... BUT.. he's driving me crazy.. he does this little 'pep talk/sales pitch' that he gives me in the morning.. where he tries to pep me up by telling me how hard "we've" had it for the past 9 months but it's almost over and 'we' made it.. and how excited "WE" are.. when i explain that I think I should have kept my daughter home with us, so she can be near me, he tells me that it's going to be hard on "us" but 'we'll get through it'.. that's not helping me. please shut up..
I hate his team spirit right now...I'm so over it.. I just can't take it..i just want to scream.. WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.. I DID THIS!!! YOUR BELLY IS BIG BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN EATING CHEESESTEAKS!!!
I feel like everyone is waiting on me to deliver the next family miracle. i'm scared i'll fail.. if one more person tells me about 10 fingers and 10 toes i'll cry.. does that mean you'll be mad at me if she has an 11th finger?
vent over.. off to cry again..

OMgosh, I can really understand how you feel with this statement!
It's such pressure to know that as a woman, we had the most control up until delivery over the child's well being. That's a scary thought and that's why you think these things. I can really relate. I was so terrified for my 20 week sono and told my DH the same thing, it's such a weight to know it's all on me!
So I can only imagine the time coming closer, feeling all the responsibilites and normal concerns.
I think what you are feeling is 1 billion percent normal. So if crying helps, go do it. It will all sort itself out in time, I am sure.

AW I'm really sorry you're feeling so anxious!! The weight and responsibilty of what we go through for 9 months is really huge and it's all about to culminate for you...it's natural to feel that way. GOOD LUCK with your c-sec and I hope you are feeling better :)
