The Assassination of Gianni Versace
This movie takes a lot of liberties with the "facts." There is no evidence that Andrew and Versace ever met. The family denies that he had the implied HIV and that he suffered ear cancer and underwent chemo. There is no evidence that Andrew knew or even met Miglin. The Miglin family denies that he was even gay. There was speculation that Andrew knew Miglin b/c of the vicious murder and that he took his time in the house eating ice cream and leaving a knife in the ham.
I personally think it's terrible that are presenting fiction and speculation as fact and I understand why the Versace family was against this movie.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace
I'm SO over all the back and forth in the timeline. I have a hard time figuring out where things are, then they'll throw a character in to show the timeline. I'm currently watching the latest episode and now Versace is a kid?!

They have a reverse chronological time frame, meaning they start from the present day and instead of moving forward, they move backwards to the past, it took me a couple of episodes to figure that one out.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace
What's up with Andrew's dad when Andrew was little??? Sleeping with him in the master bedroom and what totally weirded me out was when he asked andrew (as he turned the light off) if he remembered when he used to kiss Andrew's feet to calm him down or something like that and Andrew would never say a word. That totally gave me the creeps and it kinda sounded as his dad used to molest him. Am I imagining things??

That's what it seemed like to me. :( That's why it seemed weird to me that Andrew would follow his dad to Manila - you think he'd be happy to be away from his molester.

His dad put him on a pedestal and idolized him... and vice versa. Whether he was molested or not it was all he knew. His dad did a huge number on him.

Anyone see the finale? That's some houseboat Andrew was staying on! I was thinking he was caught in more of the smaller boat (like when he was hiding in the bathroom from that woman).
Not sure how real it was, but if it's accurate - his dad is just an awful person. :(

I also thought the same!!! The guy was lucky to have found a random empty house and for that long!!!! Also it seems that even though it was a boat house, it was the only one that was also on a major street?!? I noticed that almost at the end when the camera took a shot from above.
What a horrible life he had! And the father (mother included as well) were the ones that definitely put him on that path from when he was small. I know Andrew was the favorited son but I wonder how his siblings grew up like and how their lives turned out to be??
