The baby questions never end!!
One of my carpenters (I am a off. man. for union) just asked me how old I was (thanks ) and when I told him that I just turned 25 on Sunday and my 1st Anniversary is Saturday, he replies "when are you gonna have kids? I was on my 2nd kid when I was 25"
Good for you buddy Thanks for coming to work today
Is 25 the cutoff or something? When I was 24 I got "oh..you are still so young. You have plenty of time" Now that I am 25, BAM! I am automatically old and need to bang out some babies

Just wait and see what happens when you reach the ripe old age of 32 and have no babies yet.

I don't get this too much, but my friend used to since she was married for 9 years before having a child.
She used to answer, "well, when I do, you'll be the 527th person on my list to tell."

Everyone wants everyone to rush to the next step. You'll see. You'll be in your 50s & people will ask when you're going to a nursing home, did you plan your funeral, etc.

I'm in the same boat as you...I'll be turning 25 this yr and will be celebrating our 1 yr anniversary in July..
Just today at a staff meeting my boss says "so any baby news..." Looks right at me...I said NOPE!
She then replied to everyone "I'm looking at her, b/c she is newly married and we can't wait for the babies."
um...yeah well I can lady...When i choose to have one I'll let you know!

Thats what I mean! My mom acts like if I wait another 2 or 3 years she'll be in a nursing home by then

That's awesome. Just wait till you hit your mid-30s and the questions come with a look of pity.

Older people just lived in a different time and they feel the need to express their opinions. Our parents for the most part had kids much younger than we do now. They think the same rules apply, but the truth is more women work now and we just aren't ready to start that young. Don't get me wrong, I have friends who started under 25. I just had some stuff I needed to do before I settled down with a family. I'm 29 and 3 months pregnant with my first.

Seriously I would rather die that have her as my nanny...but I get it all the time at work so I completely empathize with you!
