Not yet... my REA submitted our counter (just the closing date change) to the bank yesterday. Hopefully we'll hear back today!

my attorney had to take out like 46 things... it was the worst he saw.. the worst thing is called "time of essance" if we didnt close by that date for some reason they would have fined us $113. a day yes you read that right, and they had in there they could keep our deposit. this was a very long and think contract. be careful if you have questions FM me.
Crazy! Thanks for the info... we'll be careful and make sure we read everything on the contract.
Get a good attorney. Even if it's not the "norm" in FL to have an attorney for RE purchases (it's not the norm in a lot of states), always have an attorney when you're buying a foreclosure or short sale.

CaMacho, do not worry. I had the same experience as DUCKS, my lawyer said our foreclosure was the worst conract ever (she advised us NOT to sign it!), we had the same time of essence, fear of losing our deposit, etc. but we persisted and got our house! Everything worked out in the end. Most attorneys aren't familiar with the foreclosure lingo, or experience, and they try to scare you. The bank wants to pin everything on you b/c they are losing money on the property ever day they own it, so they want to dump it ASAP. If they accepted you offer, you'll get it. They want to get rid of it, trust me! I've been through it.
