Re: The buying process
no you totally are but my DH's income is high, yes, but we would still need mine to do it.
I think we'll try the bank route and let you ladies know how its going. If you ladies feel like after the fact I could do better with a broker, than I'll choose that.
Look at how much I trust you ladies. I'm telling you my credit score.......

with his credit score he might be able to do on his own-
but if you get the same rate with you on there- then it's fine
I just want you to get the best rate possible

Re: The buying process
thank you so much. My DH's best friend's brother is a morgage brother but has only been doing it for about 9 months. I don't really know much about that industry, but it seems a little to short to know everything. If it doesn't work out, I will totally be FM's you for Jake's info.
I wish I could somehow add my Ebay sales to fix my credit. I'm doing great there. Sorry, I need a drink.....

it takes at least 2 years to fully understand the business
the first 3 months is mostly cold calls and then someone on Jake's level would help them with every loan
Jake's been doing this for 5 years- maybe 6 and was a stock broker before that so feel free to FM your questions

Re: The buying process
I would also get an inspector lined up when you start seriously looking. That way if there are multiple offers on the house you can get your guy in there first and you can decide right away to proceed. We used Jamie from Housemaster and we were very pleased.
We got our pre-approval from our bank (citibank) and it took about 2 hours.
