the comedy that is the morning routine
5:15 – wake up, change diaper, dream feed by DH passes gas and dogs shake their full bodies creating a fabulous jingle bell symphony from their dogt ags 5:40 – try to get baby back down, pet dogs, more gas from the guy I chose to spend the rest of my life with 5:41 – try to sneak out of room not waking the crew 5:42 – sneak back in b/c I forgot my breast pump 5:43 – bring out all the toiletries from the closet that I no longer have time to use – face cream? What’s that? 5:44 – 5:47 – shower…it would be shorter but I have to wait the whole minute for the conditioner to work 5:48 – dry, put on the hands free bra, hook up the pump, the hair dryer and then remember I forgot to brush my teeth 5:49-5:50 – slap in some product (oh wait I put in hand cream and not the hair product!), rinse head in sink, start over 5:51 – 5:53 – hair dry and pump 5:54 – reattach the tubes to one of the dang pumps – god forbid I should move my head while blow drying to get the other side dry 6:03 – finish hair drying and throw a pair of sunglasses on my head b/c if I bend down to find the clip in the cabinet the milk will pour out of the unit! 6:04 – 6:06 – push on the boobs b/c it feels and looks like nothing is coming out! 6:08 – give up and say 2 oz will have to do! 6:09-6:11 – get dressed in the guest room where it is freezing cold b/c the aforementioned provider of gas hasn’t removed the window A/C unit yet….. 6:12 – DH strolls down the hall to the bathroom mumbling how cold it is in the hallway and how I should shut the door to the guest room and that the baby woke up, he things from the symphony. My vote is from his gas. 6:14 – load up the car with my pocketbook, lunch, computer 6:15 – run upstairs and find my wedding ring, decide whether or not to wear it based on the gas content of the air in my bedroom 6:16 – pet dogs, pet DH 6:17 – grab baby, kiss, kiss 6:18 – get him in his car seat, kiss, kiss 6:20 – cry b/c I have to leave him 6:21 – remember I forgot my lunch that I thought I packed 6:22 – bring baby to car, whoops! I don’t have a jacket on! 6:23 – start car, run in, find jacket, think “I really should put on a necklace with this outfit so I don’t look like a disheveled mom” 6:24 – enter the bedroom to find DH and dogs cuddled in bed, gas content has fallen, find necklace and too much of a PITA so I don’t put on 6:25 – Kiss DH goodbye, pet dogs, DH passes gas again for good measure and laughs at me 6:30 – finally pull out of driveaway praying DS will fall asleep in car ride, Z100 entertains me 7:03 – arrive at Grandmas to drop off DS, lug DS up flight of stairs where Grandma is in bed all cuddled up in a room with no gas and warm b/c there is no a/c window unit in even though it is Nov 28th! 7:04-7:10 – complain to Grandma (my mom) about DH’s gas problem, the dog tag symphony, my boobs still hurting from enough milk out, work, life, etc. 7:11 – kiss baby 7:12 – car and ride to work, cry for leaving baby 7:28 – arrive at work 7:29 – unpack the bags of computers, lunches, pumping gear 7:30 – become a productive member of my company by typing this email.

Re: the comedy that is the morning routine
Makes my wake up, feed baby, give him antibiotic, give him a nebulizer treatment, get ready for work, get DS ready for daycare, drop him at daycare and then go to work...look like nothing
