The Drama Surrounding Dreamgirls
There have been a couple of scandals surrounding the much-anticipated film Dreamgirls, so before it gets all Dynasty up in here, we thought we’d break it down and do a round-up.
-- The New York Post reports that, to increase profits, Paramount studios will release the film in New York and Los Angeles ten days early but charge $25 a ticket. NYC and L.A. respond with a resounding, "Our ***."
-- Jennifer Hudson admits to a Dallas newspaper that she thinks being gay is a sin.
-- She denies the statements on her MySpace blog.
-- Then she sends a statement to the gay mag The Advocate playing the always amusing “Some of my best friends – and sister! – are gay!” card.
-- Rumors circulate that Beyoncé Knowles is jealous of the Oscar buzz Hudson is getting for her performance in Dreamgirls. In an interview, Knowles tries to dispel rumors of a feud, but only fans the flames with what is viewed as a backhanded compliment, saying she was happy to take the smaller part because "I'm already a star. I already have nine Grammys. Everyone knows I can sing.”
-- Meanwhile, the Daily News reports that, though Hudson has a bigger role and gives a stronger performance, Dreamgirls execs are pushing Knowles for the Best Actress Oscar, while relegating Hudson to the Best Supporting Actress category.
Tune in next week when Beyoncé and Jennifer have a swimming pool fight and settle this like Alexis Carringtons.

oh boy.
not for nothing Beyonce is very talented, I don't think she wil feel intimidated by an amateur.

Tania, sorry mama!!! I so disagree with you on this one. Yes, Beyonce is talented but I do feel that she is intimidated because she is not getting the glory and the attention with the role that she played. Yes, the other girl maybe an amateur but she is now getting the glory and the attention which Beyonce and her snotty parents despise. As you know Beyonce feels that because she is already a star she should be the one getting the glory and attention.

Tania, sorry mama!!! I so disagree with you on this one. Yes, Beyonce is talented but I do feel that she is intimidated because she is not getting the glory and the attention with the role that she played. Yes, the other girl maybe an amateur but she is now getting the glory and the attention which Beyonce and her snotty parents despise. As you know Beyonce feels that because she is already a star she should be the one getting the glory and attention.
I totally agree with this- no major star wants to be upstaged- ever

 How right you are!! DH told me last night "I can't stand her (speaking) voice, all I think of is "Shazaaam"...
