The First Snow...
Pictures from yesterday - You'll have to forgive the character hats & gloves - I hate clothing with characters but my MIL gave it to them & I have yet to figure out how to lose them. I screwed up the contrast when auto-correcting & saved over it accidentally but here they are: Image Attachment(s):

Nikon D70 with a 300mm lens. Any digital SLR will do the trick (ie Canon Digital Rebel).

That's why I mentioned the less expensive Canon Digital Rebel.
I bought the Nikon because I had the 300mm lens from my old Nikon N60 and wanted to use it. I think having a zoom lens is really important when you take pictures of kids - and if you like candids.
SLR = Single Lens Reflex. It's a type of camera that uses a movable mirror so basically what you see through the viewfinder (the eye piece, not the LCD screen) is what you're taking a picture of.
