The first years Newborn to Toddler tub sling...
When did you stop using the sling to bathe your LO? At what age?

Re: The first years Newborn to Toddler tub sling...
i stopped using the sling once my DD was able to sit up on her own... I did this knowing she was able to play sitting without support and without my help.
now she sits in the tub and i give her toys. she has a blast.
Olivia will be 8 months on sun.

I think about one month for us too, but we also have a big baby. He had really good head control fairly early on.

Re: The first years Newborn to Toddler tub sling...
We used it maybe 3 times, then I just put her in the infant/toddler tub and held on to her....but she was pretty good with her head early on.

DD is 21 weeks and we still use the sling. She has great head control but I don't feel comfortable bathing her without it because she cannot sit on her own.

Re: The first years Newborn to Toddler tub sling...
I used it maybe 3 times when DD was first born. Then I started using it again when she was 5 months old because she slides herself down into the water constantly and makes it impossible for me to give her a bath because I am picking her up every few seconds!!!

Re: The first years Newborn to Toddler tub sling...
I ask b/c Kristina has this wonderful habit of sliding herself in the sling til she is completely (just about) horizontal, and then gets mad b/c she is!
She has wonderful head control, and I was just wondering if at almost 11 weeks - is it too soon to remove the sling?

You as the mommy are the ONLY person qualified to make the decision about removing the sling. My DD doesn't slide herself in the sling at all (although she does that in her bouncy seat), but I can see how that would concern you.

I think we stopped using it around 2 months. After awhile he started screaming when we used the sling because too much of his body was exposed to the air and he was cold. Bath time was so much better after we stopped using it.

Same here - about 2, 2.5 months...and now she likes bathtime much better bc she is immersed in water.

I just stopped using it and she does fine in the infant part - she doesn't slide or anything. I probably could have taken it off sooner.
