I think if you were to get the flu you would have gotten it already.
I believe you are contagious 1 day before symptoms and only 2 or 3 days after symtpoms start.

Re: the girl I share a cubicle with tested postive for the flu- not swine
I've been exposed to the flu twice now. I'm not sure if it was swine flu for sure but, my dr. said if it is the flu now it is most likely the swine flu since that is the most prevalent right now. Both family members that had it worked in situations where swine was likely.
I was told that the person that has it is contagious from one week from onset of symptoms or 24 hours after they are completely symptom free (not just fever free) whichever was longer. I also think the incubation period can be up to a wk.
Honestly, I talked to my OB's office and my son's ped's office the second time since it was a very close exposure over multiple days and my DC was exposed as well and he just said to wait it out - he said the flu is everywhere now and you just have to eat healthy, get your rest and do the best you can to avoid it.
HTH! I know how scary it is. We are currently in the waiting it out period too

I was exposed all last week. Half of my class was out and three definitely had the flu. Just eat healthy, drink oj and take your vitamens.

just take extra precautions - clorox wipes on shared items like fax machines, lysol, etc.
