The girls are 5 months - do you think they look identical?
OB swears they are even though Juliana is a pound heavier. He said there was definitely only 1 placenta, 2 sacs. I know DNA testing is an option, but DH and I are still on the fence. Here is a pic I took this morning -
Katelyn is on the left, Juliana is on the right.

I definitely see some differences. But I would believe that they are identical.

No one has said they weren't identical. My OB swears they are. I just don't really see it. Maybe its because I look at them constantly, or the pound difference skews it a bit.

Ohhh - ok! Based on the pic they definitely look it to me (although I know that doesn't mean much lol)

I think they look alike, but I think Katelyns face is rounder and nose is different from Juliana.

Its hard to tell ..... but they are just soooo cute!!!!!
i'd believe the Dr. You are probably seeing their personalities. I know identical twins that looked different to me because I was such good friends with them. I also had identical twin students that I was able to tell apart after getting to know them real well. These are your babies.... its great that you see their uniqueness! They are just soo beautiful and such cute shirts!!

They definitely look identical to me!! They are so beautiful!
DH is an identical twin and to others, they look exactly the same but to me and their family, they look different.

Never go by height or weight or if one has curlier hair etc. My sister and I are identical and there has never been a day in our lives that I didn't weigh more. I was a lb heavier at birth and am still heavier at 27 years old. I was always about an inch taller too.
Even if they have the same DNA, it can be expressed slightly differently.
They are adorable!

Thanks! And I agree. I think its the pound. When I look at them and compare their features (hair, eyes, nose, mouth, fingers, ears) I see identical. But when I look at them as a whole package, I don't see it

Yes definitely, but I think it's also harder for you to tell since they look SO much like Ryan! They are gorgeous babies

As a mother of identical twins, althugh I see differences they are IDENTICAL.
I feel the same way about my twins too. I had 1 palcenta, 2 sacs. If they are not identical twins you and I just made medical history. 1 placenta always = identical twins.

I'll go with identical...
I was told to go by each feature separately...
Eyes...same
Nose...same
Ears....same
Chin...same
It's just when you put it together that you sometimes come out with some differences...
My girls have always looked different to me. But there is really no denying the fact that they are identical twins.

I think No, just my opinion. My friend swore her twin were NOT identical and she did the DNA test and they were. So maybe just do the test. For me, I would need to know for sure. Why? curiosity would kill me

This was me even after being told they were, I tested them- IDENTICAL.
and look, I dont see it and many others dont.

I see differences as well. My nieces are identical twins and I can tell them apart (eta:even tho they live in San Diego)Most people can't, but I have always been able to. One of my nieces has a rounder face than the other and other small details like that. Also when I was 18 I worked in a pre-school and there were identical twins in the class and I could tell them apart too. I think even though they are "identical" they aren't always completely identical. KWIM?
Either way they are both SOOOO flippin cute!
