Re: The Help

I'm reading it now. Get back to me next week. Great characters - can hear the sounds of their voices in my head.
Hope they don't screw the film up like the did Water For Elephants (though I didn't see it)

Re: The Help

It's fantastic if you get it as a book on tape. I highly recommend that. The voices are great.

Re: The Help

I thought it was a very good book. I agree with the point about the characters; they do really come alive.

There were a couple of minute points that I found to be a bit trite (I don't want to ruin the book, so I won't say what), but aside from that it was terrific!

Re: The Help

Just finished this last night and definately one of the better books I've read in awhile.

Although, I was a little annoyed with the ending, like "thats it...thats how it ends" I wanted more - more karmaChat Icon (don't want to give it away)

Re: The Help

It was a good easy read but was more predictable than I would have liked.

I agree with that. I also felt disappointed with the characterization of Skeeter at the end. I don't want to give anything away though, so I won't say why!

I agree as well, I was turning the pages of the ebook as if it was missing a chapter. But overall, really good.
