The Leprechaun Report (updated & with pictures added)
Mission accomplished.
Hair has been dyed. Unbeknowst to them, they are sleeping in their new St. Pat's day t-shirts. The trap they made has been tripped, jackets are hidden, shoes are atop the ceiling fan.
The leprachaun even had enough time to make Joseph lunch.
Can't wait to hear them wake up!
I have strands of green in my hair since I'm not going to make it to work in the morning. I think I have bronchitis. Too bad the little fellow doesn't drop off antibiotics too.
Here's the recap.
This was their carefully planned trap. Notice how close the coins were put next to the stick so he was sure to bang into it while getting his coins.
Joseph woke up & yelled..."Oh no! He got my hair again!!!" Maddie woke up & said "How did I get a Blue Clues shirt on me?" Joseph looked closer & said "That's not Blues Clues! It's a four leaf clover!" and promptly looked at his chest. They were floored the leprachaun dressed them while they were sleeping. Luckily Maddie didn't go into the whole nipple thing.
They're wearing the shirts so I only have the jpg from when I did the iron-on (and a special thanks to Stephanie/sunny for insisting on me making my own because Old Navy only had inappropriate St. Pat's shirts).
This was Maddie's
and this was Joe's
They ran outside & saw their trap was down. Joseph said, "Get your camera! This will be the first ever picture of a leprachaun!" Maddie squealed "We're going to be rich!" (oblivious of the paparazzi economy, she was referring to the leprachaun's pot of gold).
They opened it & were disappointed that there wasn't a leprachaun but were thrilled over what he did leave - Lucky Charms (something they begged for & I would NEVER buy).
He also left a sparkly bow tie. Joseph demonstrated how it came off in the struggle to free himself from the trap. No picture on that one, I was trying to hard to hold in my laugh.
Here's the note, he left taunting them about next year:
When they went in the kitchen,Joseph thought the Leprachuan had made a snack. I pointed out that it looked like the Leprachaun made him lunch. Yes, that's Maddie's jacket in the bowl behind the lunch.

They were dressed & ready to school, but not before we added the something special he left behind...tatoos:
Now, I can finally shop for Easter candy. Thanks for looking!

I did it in their sleep. I only used a little bit of the green hair stuff this year since I used too much last year. It's a styling gel that's bright green & it stiffens up. I put Maddie's hair in a pony tail when she was sleeping & did the end. I did Joseph's hair at the tips.
For their shirts, I changed them while they were sleeping. I was going to do the full clothes, but opted just to do the shirts in case they weren't fully asleep.
