FTR, there is still a Roy Rogers in Shirley! It's just south of Sunrise Hwy on William Floyd Pkwy.

I've been a Long Islander for 8 years and I can say that I have not had as good a pizza as I did growing up in Queens.
You're not really a Long Islander unless 1. you believe LI has the best pizza and 2. you stop reminiscing about queens move along LI imposter

I always bring bagels down to the inlaws in Florida. There is actually a good pizza place there but the guys who own it are from LI of course.

I've been a Long Islander for 8 years and I can say that I have not had as good a pizza as I did growing up in Queens.
As someone who lived in Staten Island for most of her life, then Queens for 4 years, and now LI, I have yet to find any pizza as good as the pizza on Staten Island.

I love the one where you dont consider anyone from new york if they aren't from nyc or li, so true. I have a friend from upstate and i tell them they are from "fake" new york. They don't find it as funny as I do.

And there are still some Arby's in Queens. Rumor has it one will also be at the Arches at Tanger.
