Re: The night before you gave birth
I started having very light contractions, very far apart. The next day went to hospital around 10am (they tried to make me stay home but it was snowing so didn't want to risk it) then had him at 7pm

Re: The night before you gave birth
The night before...I was trying all of these different crazy things that people told me bring you into labor. I ate spicy food and did 100 jumping jacks.
I didnt feel any different when i went to bed though
but...I woke up in early labor at 5:30 am.

Re: The night before you gave birth
I gave birth by emergency c-section so I am not sure if this is going to cpount but its kind of a funny story.
I gave birth on a Monday. The previous Thursday we went to the driuve through at BK and the woman looked at me and said-wow when are you due(I have twins for anyone who doesn't know) I said a few weeks and she said-absolutely not you are lucky if you make it through the weekend, but i would say Monday or Tuesday. My DH and I were like yeah ok Burger King Lady.
On Friday I felt like crap and said to my husband I don't think I can do this another 2 weeks...Then Monday I went to my appt and they sent me to the hospital. The babies were born 4 hours later

Re: The night before you gave birth
I felt a lot of pressure, but didn't know what was going on. I didn't even know that my water broke until I got to the hospital. When I did arrive at 12am, the nurses didn't believe I was in labor until they did the exam and found out that I was 7 cm!
Nine hours later, Bradley was born!

Re: The night before you gave birth
No, not really. The only clue I had the night before was a lingering lower back ache.

Re: The night before you gave birth
Not really different...
First DS - had a big dinner out, maybe passed some of the m plug, went to bed, went to work, went to last Dr. appt at 2 pm, she sent me to the hospital as I was in labor, 3-4 min contractions. DS was born 12 hours later, emergancy C, one week early. Second DS - had a scheduled C for Monday 4/20, one week before actual DD. Thursday made a big dinner for my sister - steak, potaoes, veggies, and dessert - we were so stuffed! Friday woke up very early, cramped and thought it was the dinner. Tried to go to work as it was supposed to be my last day. Dh made me call the DR as I was bent over trying to get in the shower. I just kept saying I had to go to work. Dr. said come to hospital to get checked, we dropped DS off at daycare, got to hospital and I had my second DS within 3 hours, by VBAC. I kept saying I was scheduled for a C....I was so far along...I would have had the baby at work if I went in. So he was 11 days early Maybe it was the food...

Re: The night before you gave birth
I did...I felt like I had to go to the bathroom. It was a weird pressure feeling, and contracting every 5 mins. I didn't give birth until 28 hours later.

yes at about 900pm that night I was on the phone with my mom and I told her I felt a bit nauseous...she said that's a size of labor...I laughed it off...I woke up at 230am with severe back cramping and blood...I had my boy at 400pm that day!

Re: The night before you gave birth
No, I didn't feel different but I guess in retrospect I had that burst of energy. I was at the office until 11PM trying to wrap things up, and I had Ryan at 10:24AM the next morning.
