Re: The only thing missing from the royal Wedding..

I'm no Royalist, nor do I know a lot about the Royal Family, but from what I understand, the boys have a very close relationship with Camilla, and have done for years. There is apparently no animosity between them. They see her as a Mother figure in their lives, so she was a bit part of the wedding, including the signing of the register. Also, Camilla has her own grown up children, so they have step-siblings. She deserved to be there, although of course, the boys missed their mother greatly.
Agreed... the Camilla hate is really weird to me. (But hating on anyone you don't really know is weird to me.)

I agree! Anyone else was bothered by Camilla going into the room to witness the signing of the marriage certificate? I was annoyed.
I'm just annoyed by her in general.. I feel like she should be walking around with a big old A on her chest or T for being a tramp.. Cannot stomach her
When I saw I was just annoyed. I do get that she is his step mother but let's not forget the history behind it all.
It sounds horrible but I had hoped she tripped or something
I also heard that she cut alot of Diana's friends off the invite list..
She is a b!tch!!
That's a very ladylike way to talk about someone you don't even know.
William was inteviewed saying how much he and Harry like her since she has made their father so happy!

Re: The only thing missing from the royal Wedding..
I am sure William wanted her there to sign or she would not be there, it is HIS wedding afterall. If he is okay with it why should anyone else question it?

Damn. I thought this was going to be a funny post.
Now I'm sad.
And I think Camilla being there was totally appropriate.
She's part of their family no matter how she got there.
They've made peace with it, I don't understand why people don't just accept that.
Exactly.. Camilla is not the one to 'blame' and be angry at in any of this. Charles is the one who carried on a relationship with her before and during his marriage to Diana - if you want to be 'mad' at someone, take it out on him her looks have nothing to do with it, and i'd hardly call her a tramp The Royal family has managed to accept her and get over it - so if they can do it, then people who have nothing to do with it should also! It was absolutely appropriate for her to be there, she's a part of their family now. People should stop being so catty!!

I agree it was very distasteful of the Royal Family to allow her to go in there and she should of KNOWN HER PLACE and not go.

I think it's really up to the Royal Family to decide that. It's not that they "allowed" her to go there. I would think Charles WANTED his wife and William his stepmother to be there.
It's not YOUR place to decide that.

Re: The only thing missing from the royal Wedding..
Um, for the record I am not FAULTING Camilla alone because I cannot stand that Charles. But if I was in Camilla's position and all that went on when Diana was alive I would have the decency to not be so UPPISH lthe way she is being.
I don't understand why people are getting their panties in a bunch because I said I don't care for Camilla. I don't have any respect for anyone like her and Charles.

You're totally right its not my place or even your place or any of our place to be discussing busines to taking a sides of people we all don't know but this is a discussion board and I am entitled to my opinion based on reports just like you have an opinion based on reports so I can say what I feel. and I will REITERATE she had no business in there she as a woman after all that pain she caused their mother should stand back and let them have their moment. but she's has no class so she sees nothign wrong with what she did...how unfortunate

Re: The only thing missing from the royal Wedding..
Honestly, hearing about the women Diana was, if she was alive today I don't think she would have discourage Camilla from being there. She appeared to be a very classy women and regardless of if she liked the women or not she would be aware that she is an immediate part of her son's family and would respect that.

I agree, the whole Charles/Diana thing was a sham, she might have been in love with him, but the marriage was arranged because the family thought it was time that Charles got married. He is such an idiot that he was under the impression he could get married to Diana and keep his relationship with Camilla alive. He was sending her gifts and communication throughout his and Di's dating. Apparently Diana wanted to back out of the marriage, but was told by a Royal Aide it was too late because her picture was already on the souvenir tea towels. God, I sound like I know everything about the RF now...

I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this was mentioned, but it's been said that Diana was there. In the mannerisms of her oldest son. The head down, shy smile. It was her. And it was beautiful.

I love Diana too, but lets not forget she had an affair too. We don't know what the relationship between the boys and Camilla. I assume it is good because they are so close with their father. I had no problem with her being included in signing the register.

Re: The only thing missing from the royal Wedding..
It was sad that Diana was not there but who knows if she would have witnessed THIS wedding.
You can't just change one parameter in history.
William might have been a different man, chose a different path, a different mindset had his mother not die.
In the best case scenario, whoever he would have married, his mom would have been there to witness it. That's the sad part!

I'm sure you could confirm this: on the news they said that the British people have really accepted Camilla, since she is seen but not heard. She goes out in public and does chairty work, but says very little, so not to get in trouble.
On the news this morning they said that she is well liked in UK

Yes, its true. She is quite well liked, people don't see her as a homewrecker, they see her as a sort of normal addition to the Royal Family. The Queen did not go to their wedding as she was hesitatnt to show her support, but she did go to the reception to celebrate. I like her, she and Charles do a lot of charity work and pretty much keep to themselves. I really love her son Tom Parker-Bowles, he is a food writer and tv presenter and I have a sort of strange crush on him!
