The real reason I do not bring my dog to stores
I X-posted this on Pets but I won't link to it, lest you all think I am Rick Rolling again......The real reason I do not being my dog to stores is.......
He shoplifts.
I brought him into a pet supply store in Manhattan. It was a store that welcomes dogs and they were really good at helping me to fit Oscar for a harness. By the time we were done, Oscar had pulled a box of treats off a shelf that was a lot taller than he is and he got into a basket of those marrow bone things and picked a really good one. At Petco, he tried to take a rubber toy.
I can't be the only one whose dog is guilty of petty larceny.

You mean beside the fact that her dog did not see a sign that he was not allowed to sample the treats and play with the toys prior to buying?

me...BTW, I took Misty to Petco once and she stole a Greenie off the shelf and ate it the speed of light!!

Well that too but I was referring to the fact that Keri is a lawyer and her dog is a thief!!

I have often said that my dog has more of a lawyer personality than I do.

My dog is a thief too!! 
Once we walked right out and I didn't even notice he snagged a dog toy on the way out that was on the bottom shelf by the check out. I didn't even notice until I picked him up to put him in the car, he had the whole thing in his little mouth, i seriously think he knew what he was doing..
The second time the little rug rat did this I GOT STOPPED BY SECURITY!!!

My mom's dog is also a shoplifter and a daschund!
THey went into a pet store to find out info on some pet photos, and in no time, Lady had eaten something like 12 biscuits out of the displays on the floor.

Porter is a shoplifter. He tries to steal the squeaky ducks, and greenies. Then he looks at me like, PLease mom please can i have it. How can i deny him
