The spa post reminded me
Who has gone to a pregnancy massage? I have one scheduled on Friday and I was just wondering how they go about doing this?

Re: The spa post reminded me
The ones I've had were mostly on my side...Then for the back they had special molds with holes cut out for breasts and belly.
enjoy every minute of it- it goes too fast

Re: The spa post reminded me
I got one a couple months ago.
Basically it was regular massage table with a wedge so I could sit up while they did my legs, feet, etc.
Then I turned on my sides for the back massage part.
I know some places have a table with a hole in the middle for the belly. I just can't imagine how that is comfy.

Re: The spa post reminded me
Of course I am the only massage therapist who did not get any massages during my pregnancy. I am a total disgrace to my profession..
At this stage in your pregnancy, you will need to be on your left side (ONLY!!!!!!) during the massage, maybe the right side too but NOT on your back. This should be a light massage, nothing deep. More relaxing that anything! They should also avoid the ankles.
