we did it...i passed all the stuff i needed and dd came home with us last night...so now we are onto phase 2...learning to live with juvenile diabetes and trying to help her understand that we give her the shots and prick her finger to help her she is a tough cookie and i am so proud of her...the real heros are the kids on her floor, their parents and of course the nursing staff who deals with it days in and out....
i felt slightly guilty when they told me she could walk out on her own....and she did with me keeping her on a fast pace...i couldn't wait to get her home...dh came 10 mins later and i swear i just had her sit outside with me and my 10000 bags....i didn't even care how weird i looked with them all strapped to me!, it was never a better moment than sitting on that bench, or watching her with dd#2 again..
I hope she can keep a smile on her face with every test and every shot. It is something that many live with, so I hope she does it with that beautiful smile!
