The worst thing about traveling with your DC...
is the hotel room!
They go to bed at 8pm, you go to bed at 8pm 
We found a solution this time though--we rolled the chairs from the room into the bathroom and hung out for a couple of hours: dessert, drinks, books and all--how romantic! Feel free to steal our idea because look at how much fun we're having!

Thankfully our kid will sleep through ANYTHING so we can still watch TV, chat, whatever, while she's asleep in the room

OMG Thanks for the idea That is always the biggest complaint with my DH and I ... once my kids fall asleep they will sleep through anything.. it's just getting them to fall asleep with us in the room.

That is so funny! We were going to do the same thing on our recent trip but luckily they upgraded us up to a suite.

Well if you had one to many drinks at least you didn't have to go far.
If we actually ever go on a vacation I keep looking at rooms with balconies that way it gives us another hideaway.

That is hysterical!!!! That is the reason why I refuse to travel unless we can get a suite. DD is the lightest sleeper. i can't even walk without her waking up if we're in the same room - forget about rolling over in bed.
