Theme help needed - Easter/1st Birthday party in one!
DS will be 1 the day before Easter. We decided to do a combo bday/Easter on his birthday.
So now I need a theme. I was thinking a springish/baby animal theme, light greens and blues. But so far all I have seen with this theme also has flowers on them and looks a little girlie.
The decorations need to go with Easter... no characters or anything like that. There is a 1 theme that has pastel animals on it (this one http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-themes/boxbuilder.asp?dept_id=456) that i just might use.
But I am looking for suggestions from people more creative than me LOL!!!

Your idea sounds wonderful!
My oldest daughter had her 4th birthday on Easter last year. My twins were almost one at the time - I remember they enjoyed the easter egg hunt.
Carvel has an ice cream cake in the shape of a bunny.

I saw ADORABLE cake pops that look like ducks. They would look so cute in little easter baskets.

OMG, those are adorable! You could do a duckling theme, that would be really cute!

What about Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter? Even though it's a character, it definitely goes with Easter. (My mom used to give my sister and me a Beatrix Potter stuffed animal with a matching book every year in our Easter baskets.)

Re: Theme help needed - Easter/1st Birthday party in one!
We did a bunny theme for DS 1st bday last year- his was also the day before Easter.
I ordered bunny invites from Etsy, bunny cake toppers, a bunny birthday banner, bunny 1st year tags and favor tags. The vendor was ciaobambino
I got a face painter and we did egg races with the bigger kids. We had a brunch menu and I put out carrots and chips with spinach dip for apps.
For favors- got little plastic easter basket and filled them with little toys and treats and also got a copy of the Velveteen Rabbit book for all the Families.
It all turned out great!
Here's a pic of the invite: Image Attachment(s):

Thanks! I love that bunny idea! We decided to go with a music theme since he is so into music. It is not really easterish but whatever.
