Thermal Drapes
Hey Ladies, I'm a drape idiot. What exactly are thermal drapes. Do they really make a difference? I'm looking for our new place and I found ones I like but again I'm not 100% what thermal means. Thanks

Re: Thermal Drapes
I am clueless about window coverings but I am assuming that it means that they help keep out the cold drafts in the winter (and opposite in the summer).

They do, they help you save on energy costs.

Re: Thermal Drapes
I thought so but I was sure.
So they are def. worth it? Do you only use them in the winter even though I will have CAC?
Are they heavier and do they require different cleaning?

They are heavier. I'm not sure about cleaning though. We have a rental property in South Carolina and we have them there. They get cleaned once a year.
I'm not sure about the summer though, I believe they help then as well!
The best part about them though is that you can make your room really really dark!
