Things for kids to do at a party?
I am having a backyard party and a few kids coming ages 3-8. I wanted to set up a "kids" table and have stuff for them to do to keep out of their parents hair. What kind of things can I have we only have an infant so we have no swing set or anything like that, any suggestions??

Balls
Bubbles
I went to dollar store and got a lot of busy stuff!

Crafts!! Have crayons, markers, colored pencils, stickers, foam pieces, safety scissors, glie sticks, pom poms, jewels, stencils

Maybe have them decorate their own cookie or cupcake? Or you can put out different kinds of beads and they can make their own bracelets or necklaces, keychains? Sorry I wish I could think of something more creative...lol

I would say go to the dollar store and see what kind of stuff you can find- they have all kinds of stuff! being that its outside... even get some bubbles, jump ropes, water guns, maybe even get a sprinkler, and tell their parents to bring their bathing suits.
At michaels or AC Moore, they have those foam craft kits or foam stickers that most kids like.
I went to a birthday party where they had these little stuffed dogs that were plain white, and a whole bunch of markers, stickers, puffy paints. the kids could decorate their own stuff puppies.
I also went to a farm where you could buy a cookie decorating "kit". it was a take-out container with 2 sugar cookies in it. and in there with the cookies were a couple other small containers (like the kind salad dressings come in when you get a take out salad) with different colored icings, different sprinkles, etc. DS is 2.5 and had a blast with it.

chalk bubbles coloring books
u can get like foam things from ac moore like crowns tiaras etc and glue sticks and rhinestones etc and they could decorate
one of those bean bag tosses

Not sure if you want to make the trek but ikea has a ton of awesome stuff. We got puppets, one of those expandable tunnel thingies, a small picnic table crayons coloring sheets etc and most of that was from there and really cheap.

I bought sidewalk chalk and these big cardboard sunglasses from Oriental Trading for that age group. I went to Michael's and got stickers, glitter glue and foam stickers for them to decorate with, along with markers and crayons.

I recently went to a 4 year old backyard party and the mom had
a water table
coloring books
play doh
sand table
trampoline
chalk
bunch of ride on toys
bean bag toss
and regular party games like pin the tail on the donkey

Get a bubble machine from toys r us.
A pop up tent. Ikea had an igloo one for $12 that my kids love. Get a couple and they can pretend they are in a igloo city.
Crafts like a mini birdhouse to decorate.
Bounce houses are always a hit.
A bunch of beach balls. Maybe put up a badminton net and they can play volleyball with the beach balls.
