Things to LOVE about having a girl!
We don't know the gender yet, but I thought it would be nice to hear positive things from parents of girls about why they love having a girl. Please nothing negative about having a boy, and no drama. If you have cute pictures of your girl feel free to post them here too

I love dressing her up in dresses and such cute girlie things and hair stuff. My dd is only 8 months old so I still have a say in what she wears I love that she is so sweet, not that boys can't be, and for right now we rule the house

Oh and you buy on either side for the first year.
Girls can wear blue, car racing stuff, boat related shirts, etc.
Boys can't generally wear pink (I know there's exceptions)
But I LOVED Being able to shop on either side of a store. Boy or Girl who cared? If it didn't say something specifically boyish like "lady killer" then AJ could/would wear it. She's still Momma's Little Monster and Daddy's Best Bud - I don't know why those are usually only boy terms. Same goes for Grandpa terms. Usually girl stuff is Grandma centered but AJ is by default of momma, closer to grandpa so SBG (Spoiled by grandpa) shirts were bought on the boy side.

Seeing a 6 foot man play Polly Pockets with her or putting pig tails in her hair.
The calmer nature of a girl (until she hits puberty, that is).
Watching her play dress-up.
The clothes! The clothes! The clothes!
Watching the daddy's little girl thing happen.
That she wants to be just like her mommy.

I love putting pigtails in my daughter's hair, seeing myself in her, and knowing that I get to share all girly things with her when she grows up.
I love how she used to fall asleep on her daddy's chest, and how she has him wrapped around her finger.
I can't wait until she grows up and I watch her at her wedding dancing with DH, or when she tells me that I'm going to be a grandma. 
I love how she interacts with her brother, they are two peas in a pod.

There is nothing better than dressing up my DD... I'm a girlie girl, she's a girlie girl.. and we're a team in my house - girls against boys.  Which is really cute since she's only 3 but she makes a big deal about who's a girl and who's a boy.
We recently went to the mall and for the first time she shopped with me.. she would go over to the rack and somehow manage to find her size every time... pull out a dress and hold it up to herself and tell me how she NEEDS this dress. (I didn't buy her anything that day but it was fun to watch her shop).

Oh gosh- I could go on and on and on about all the things to LOVE about having a girl!
-Telling my hubby that we are having "girls only time" and then laughing with DD about it
-THE CLOTHES!
-Girly hair and hair clips, headbands, etc.
-I love that she compliments my outfits and jewelry, and hair. There is nothing sweeter than hearing your daughter say "I like that ring you are wearing, mommy" or "Wear that sweater, mommy!" Melts me every time!
-Having a little mini-me
-On the flipside- I love seeing my hubby wrapped around DD's finger!
-For me, my BFF has a DD who is the same age as my DD- so I LOVE that when BFF and I spend time together, that our girls can hang out too. They are like sisters- and it is a pleasure to see. Check out this picture that I took of them recently.

the face that she tries to be a mini me (they really like being like mommy)
Her attitude....she's fiesty and I kinda love it some days
haristyles, hair ascessories
the hugs and kisses and just overall sweetness (I'm sure you get that with a boy)

Everything...we're having another one and I swear as much as I wanted a boy just to have one of each I'm overjoyed having another bc they are honestly so much fun...she's such a girlie girl, but at the same time can be rough and tumble..all the clothes, the hair accessories, the tutus...Seeing sooooo much of me in her, and her lighting up with Daddy and asking him to dance with her, it brings tears to my eyes!!!

I have  and I love everything about it!
Right now the things I love most about them can probably be said of boys as well and most of it has to do with their personalities, not their gender so...
Besides the clothes and hair stuff and fun toys, I guess I just love the fact that I "get" them...I know what it's like to be a girl. I mean, they're only 5 and almost 4 now, but I can't wait until we can have heart to heart talks. I'm looking forward to being the shoulder to cry on when they break up with a boyfriend. I'm looking forward to wedding-dress shopping. I'm looking forward to having the same relationship with my girls that I have with my parents.
