Things you never thought you'd say
What are some of the things you find yourself saying to your child that you thought would never come out of your mouth, or that you never thought you'd even *have* to say that just sound ridiculous?
Over here we have to repeat a million times a day "Lilly, stop trying to French the baby" (she has a thing for the taste of his drool, I guess...   "
"James - stop grabbing yourself, you're going to break it"!
"Please poop, please poop, please poop..." (when he was constipated)
I was at my friends house the other day and she had to yell at one of her 3-year old twins to stop licking the other one.

omg - sophia licks random fabrics too?? logan has been doing this, and i think it's so weird. i put him on my shoulder, and he licks my shirt...i put him on the couch and he licks that...what is this all about????

I told my son once, "If you want to wash your hands, you have to take your shoes off"...
He would sit on the side of the kitchen sink with his feet in the sink and play with the water with his hands....

yea -- NO clue what that's about!!!
i think it's a soothing thing. she soothes herself with stuffed animals -- she puts them up to her face/lips and does the sucking motion but doesnt actually suck on them. maybe the fabric is soothing in a similar way?
but yea -- it's not so bad when she licks the carpet/couch/pillows at home but its GRREAT when she does it in public.

I found myself calling out to DH the other day and couldn't figure where he was in the house.
Then I realized he was in the bathroom for a while so I said "You going poopies?"
To my DH
Never thought I'd sing so much too. I sing everything and make it up.

DD is only 3 months..but we've definitely celebrated big poopies when she was havin gher tummy troubles!

My favotrite tho is when she's obvioulsy pushing poop out and her little scrunched up face and dh says to her
" I make the same face when I'm sitting on the toilet" I was like "TMI, hun!"

Loey should we get those farties out?
I have a whole song we call "GTFO" (get those farties out) that we do when we're bicycling his legs!
Oh and also, our code:
-"Did Loey poop?"
-"Nope, JB"
JB = just balls because sometimes we'd look into his diaper when he was a TEENSY newborn and at first glance think he pooped but it was "just" his... you know... balls so "JB" became a commonly used phrase in our household!
