Thirsties vs. FuzziBunz Cloths Diapers? Can someone explain how it works...
Im looking into cloth diapering and Amazon seems to have some good reviews on Thirsties but how does it work? What kind of inserts does it use? Leaks? Pros cons? Thirsties have 2 sizses and FuzziBunz have one size only...
TIA!

Re: Thirsties Cloths Diapers? Can someone explain how it works...
request a catalog from them: Thirsties catalog
I got it a few days after ordering. It explains all their products and how they work.
I use prefolds with snappi's and then use Thirsties covers. It works great and I love the covers. I also use some of their older versions fab fitteds and love those too(a fitted looks like a disposable diaper but you still need a cover to make it leak proof). I have 2 of their AIO's(goes on like a disposable and is leak proof so needs no cover) but I feel like they leak easier then prefolds and fitteds. Still love them for easy changes when we are out and about though!
ETA: I have never used FuzziBunz so I am no help there.

I've never used FuzziBunz, but I liked the Thirsties. I preferred Imse Vimse covers, they worked better for us.

I've used thirsties covers, both the regular and duo. Those are my favorite for with fitteds and prefolds.
Fuzzibunz has the perfect fit in addition to the one size. Size mediums fit the longest, i think 15-30 lbs. Not sure how the one sized diapers are. HTH!

what's the difference between the fitted's and the prefold's? Is one better than the other?

a fitted look like a disposable diaper (some velcro close, some snap close and some need a snappi/pin to close). A prefold is a flat cloth diaper that you fold (there are many ways to fold them) to fit on the baby and then either snappi, pin, on or lay into a cover.

I use BumGenius and Grovias and I love them. They are "all-in-ones" and as close to disposable as you can get really.

Re: Thirsties vs. FuzziBunz Cloths Diapers? Can someone explain how it works...
i hated thirsties all in ones - always leaked with my son
i like the thirsties covers - i used them over prefolds and they were great - double gussetted around the legs - prevent leaks - prefilds and covers get a bit bulky but work well
love bum genuis - they are my night time diaper - all i do isuse the infant insert and regualr inser together - snaps are a little harder to use but last longer
bum genuis with a single insert are not too bulky and good
i like bum ware - they are the trimmmest diaper i have found -
definetly start with prefolds - get about 24 can get infant or regualr - infant are just smaller - with my son they only lasted about 4 months - then get a couple of thirsties coers and a couple of snappi clips, one wet bag - if you dont mind that then worry about the all in ones or more expensive diapers
diaperpin.com is a great site that reviews lots of differnt brands
diaperlab.com is in somerville - outside boston and they are very helpful - they give a free class on certain saturdays

I use prefolds with a snappi and a cover. They're less expensive then fitteds and dry much quicker. I like the green mountain brand. You can always get some pocket diapers or all in ones for when your out. I also use bg pockets at night.
