This cracks me up: Can I have a sip?

My DD is 6 months and is very interested in anything DH or I drink, especially things like soda or smoothies. The other day I was drinking a smoothie through a straw and I was holding her and she dove for my cup like a madbaby and opened her mouth trying to get the straw inChat Icon. I didn't let her because the smoothie had some fruits she hasn't tried yet standalones.

Then yesterday my husband pours a glass of water for himself and picks her up and immediately her little arms reach for the cup. He let her sip and she was actually drinking the water from the glass, it was the funniest thing. Chat Icon

If she sees us eat she immediately opens her mouth to try to get some too. Mind you, she uses a sippy cup for water and is eating baby food fruits and veggies plus cereals, so she is getting what she should, but I just find it so funny how she wants to imitate what she sees. Chat Icon

At this age was when I introduced my DD to the straw sippie.... She did so well on it that she only drinks her water from her cups now!

I'm trying to integrate her milk into the cups now, but she's giving me a little bit of trouble on it. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ohhh good idea! What kind should I get? I looked for straw sippies but they all say they are for 2 year olds and up.

2 years, my butt!!!!!

DS never liked 'normal' sippys. He only went for straws early on.
