Me too. For 2 reasons.
It's not unsafe to travel and drive in a heatwave. It doesn't stop you from getting to work, and to places you need to be.

And you don't have to bundle up in 15 layers of bulk before leaving the house. Get dressed and just GO!
I love that.

It is sticky and hot but still better than the tons of snow and below freezing temps we have had the past few winters.

Re: this heat

Love the heat. Doesn't bother me one bit. I'll take this heat over three feet of snow anytime. I was out on Saturday walking for a good five hours. Was it crazy to be out for that long? Maybe but my body can handle it. Also walked yesterday for a half hour. I just drink plenty of fluids and take more showers during the day.

I hate the cold. Hate the snow even more. Hate having to deal with shoveling it. Hate the dry air in my house with the heat running, screws up my sinuses. Hate that I can't do any of my typical outdoor sports like golfing. Hate having to deal with the LIRR when it snows. Hate having to trek through the city with all the slush and slop on the ground.

I'll welcome this heat anytime. I bought a house in Florida specifically to get away from the cold in the winter. Eventually I'll be a snowbird and won't even be in the northeast during the winter months.

Exactly!
And at least in the summer, I can usually get into air conditioning and cool down. I feel like one the winter gets really cold, I can't warm up until spring.

I would much rather a blizzard than the horrendous heat and humidity yesterday. At least I can breathe when it's cold. Granted, I am 25 weeks pg, but I literally almost passed out from the heat yesterday. I always loved the fall and winter better than the dead of summer.

Same 100%
My goal is to be able to live in Florida in the winter and only come up this way from June-Sept.
I never want to see fall or winter weather if I can help it. Even spring can suck it.
One day, one day....

I can't stand it.

I don't like extreme cold either, but at least then, I feel like cuddling up under a blanket on the couch with some hot chocolate or something...this weather just makes me sick. Chat Icon

Re: this heat

I was just outside It's still pretty hot, but not humid at all today.
Dry as a bone actually.
The sky looks lovely too- so blue with some fluffy white clouds.
Perfection.

Literally counting the seconds for this summer to end!!! I am DYING for cool, crisp air and highs that start with a "5" or a "6" and NOT an "8" or "9". SO OVER SUMMER. Chat Icon

This was me yesterday. I was running errands with my 1 year old and I thought I was going to pass out. I was freaking out about what would happen to him if I went down. I decided that I don't need to be running errands in this heat at 34 weeks preggo. Any other time though, I love this weather and I would take it anytime over a snow storm.

Re: this heat

I remember 4 years ago it being like this in mid July.

We went to Las Vegas and we were actually freezing because we were just getting used to the humidity.

We were actually trying to buy sweat shirts and really didn't have any luck.

I read this as I am sitting in my air conditioned office with a space heater BLASTING on my bare legs. It's set to 89 degrees otherwise it keeps shutting off and i get annoyed.

LOVE this heat!!!!....Since I am usually freezing for 9 months out of the year, I will never complain about too much heat! We have a parking garage at work but I purposely park outside on the roof so when I go out at lunch and 5:00 the car is extra warm and sunny. I feel frozen from being in a/c at work!

Never.... And because I had a summer baby in 2013 I keep thinking how I'm so relieved it wasn't this hot when I was pregnant and huge.
