This is horrible

since working from home if I get 30 min to spend outside 1 day a week its a lot. I feel like I am chained to my desk constantly working with no end in the near future. At least if I was in the office I would have other people to converse with. Ugh this is miserable.

Re: This is horrible

Yep. Every day is the same.
Every night is the same.
There is no delineation between work and home.

I used to think I barely moved.
Now I move even less

It is horrible.
I feel your pain

If you were able to walk away from your desk at work what’s to stop you from getting up and taking a few minutes at home. You still have lunch time etc.

I have worked from home at a few different jobs and you have to make sure you make the effort.

This is horrible

My job doesn’t have a ton of phone time so I’m able to just have my iPhone with me if the kids want to take an hour or so to go play in the yard after lunch and I’m available to clients by email.
If something isn’t time sensitive I will also login and do it after the kids go to bed so I can be more flexible during the day.

This is horrible

I just take 2 20 Minute walks a day. I’ve never been much of a sitter so I need to get out and move around.

Re: This is horrible

I miss my quiet lunch hour and more freedom to do things as my break is full of cleaning, laundry, getting someone this or that (and I don’t have little kids).
They never see when I am really busy as they are sleeping (my one saving grace for quiet) and they assume if I am waiting for work I just sit around all day and do nothing. Yes that is how I have kept a job all these years. Smh.

The difference is that at him I will throw in a load of empty the dishwasher, etc. At work on my break I will take a leisurely walk to the bathroom, check emails, etc. now I have to fight to go to the bathroom at home.
