This is not how I planned to spend Lily's birthday....
....on a lockdown at school!!! 
I'm in Manhasset, and because of reports of students with a gun, we're all on lockdown.

Yeah, that's nuts! On the NFR thread I mentioned that I was JUST there last night for the concert and my 2 nephew attend there! I hope everyone stays safe and that you stay sane with those kids--I know what that's like! Well, this is definitely a story for the baby book!!

It does make me a little nervous because the reports say that there were kids with a gun - and that's a bit scary!
But I'm trying not to think about it - because I'll cry....and I'm in a room with about 60 kids.
Thank goodness the other 8th grade teacher and I were in the computer room together when this happened. I'd be out of my mind alone in a classroom with 30 kids and only one computer!

Luckily, we got out of school on time. The bad news is that they found nothing....so I'm worried that who ever it was with a gun ran before they had a chance to get him. Although, the response was pretty quick, so who knows?!
What a day! I was so happy to go to my dad's house to pick Lily up!!!
