This is why I have lost trust in people..long, sorry

My dh had a temporary seasonal job last year. They really liked him, talked about making him a manager the 2nd day he was there. Actually made him a manager a month after he started. Was supposed to be a 3 month term which he understood but they told him that they would probably leave him on part time. That would be fine.

Season got slow and it dwindled down to nothing right after the 3 months. Right before he stopped working, he got hurt on the job (fault of the job not himself). They took care of the medical bills (workers comp) and they told him he could take off as much time as he needed. He actually felt ok and came back 2 days later and he would have come back the following day as he loved the job and would work there 12-14 days most days.

He was told that they would definately call him back after a few months. So he went on unemployment.

Once a month he went back to see how the business was doing. Each and every time the SAME boss asked him if he was working. He said no. Each and every time the SAME boss told him come back such and such a date. My dh would and the same thing would happen.

My dh started searching for a job as he would hear the same thing month after month.

Wellll......right after he had left in the fall, they had fired another boss and it seems this boss threw everyone under the bus to try and save his job and tell lies. This boss told them that my dh was trying to get workers comp because of the accident and that they would make a mistake taking him back because of that and he would try that with him. He got hit on the head with a shelf that he had nothing to do with it hitting him. It just fell on him and this is not the first time it had happened to someone. This was the first time someone actually got hurt, making them fall.

INSTEAD of telling my dh this LAST FALL, they let him sit around thinking he would have a job a few months later. My dh told him why didn't he tell him months ago instead of stringing him along.

WHAT IS WRONG with people. Why can't anyone stand up to anyone anymore? Why do they string people along?

This is someone's livelihood. These people have families and homes to support.

That is disgusting. I am really sorry you are dealing with this. I hope DH finds something soon as well
