This kid knows how to break my heart and it's confirmed... (2 stories)
Two stories:
During the bed time snuggle tonight, Joseph told me "Mommy, sometimes I'm at school for so long that I forget I have a home & I feel sad. Then when I'm being picked up, I feel so happy that I have a home & that you're in it."
================
The other night he told me a "secret". He said, "I need to tell you a secret I've had for a long time. I'm kind of sad about it but I'm kind of happy too."
I said "What it is it?"
He said "I love Daddy a lot. But well....I love you more than him."
I smiled and said "I know."
He said "You do?! How?!"
I said "I can tell. It's ok. Sometimes you don't like me at all & you love Daddy. I know you always love me too deep down and so does Daddy."
He said "Ok but let's not tell him that I said that. Deal?"

Ah Applebees!
I forgot to tell you guys what happened after...
Joseph was convinced that Christine (MrsBumbleB) said he could babysit for Clover on Veteran's Day. He was so proud that he could babysit that I didn't have the heart to tell him she was kidding. Instead I went on about how Daddy had something fun planned for Veteran's Day. He kept repeating that "Babysitting would be really fun."
I thought he would forget about it but on that Sunday, he asked DH if Veteran's Day was the next day, he told him he was babysitting that day & to make sure to get the baby's address.
Then DH said "You can't babysit. Who is going to watch you?"
He said "No one. I don't need anyone to watch me. I AM THE BABYSITTER."
Finally I broke the news that he had to be 14 to babysit. I thought he was going to be hearbroken but then he said, "You mean Clover's mom thought I was 14!" It made his day!!
