this may be silly, but I need to ask anyway

We're gonna start TTC in February (we're going to Key West). I've been off BCPs for probably a year and take vitamins when I remember. I have my yearly ob/gyn appt in December.

Is there anything that I should do in the next few months to get myself ready, or books or websites that I should get familiar with? What about questions to ask my ob/gyn? I really have no idea what to expect.

Am I really pathetic or is this usual? Thanks ladies

I don't see how this will help her when she is TTC .
However you may want to pick up a copy of "Taking Charge of your Fertility." This book really helps you understand your body, and tells you what to look for in terms of signs that you are fertile.
You'll probably want to get prenatal vitamins and start taking them every day.
How have your cycles been off BCP? Are you regular? Are you using another form of BC?

sometimes nature just doesn't take it's course....

my cycle has been pretty regular, I will probably start keeping better track though and counting days.
We've been using good ol' condoms, not as much fun but they've been doing the job

I think this forum and stuff you can find on websites is enough info for now, but I agree with a PP about What To Expect When You Are Expecting is a wealth of info. And maybe take ur vitamins regularly. GL

Hey T welcome to the club!

When I went to the doctor for my annual, it just so happened to be around the time we decided to TTC. I told my doc we were TTC so she had me go in for some blood tests and prescribed prenatals. That was about it.
