I am SO sorry. You should check out the TTC after miscarriage board. The ladies there are incredible.
It truly sucks, I agree the FTC after miscarriage board is very supportive/incredible

I have no words... your post just brought tears to my eyes. It was so eloquent and hearfelt and I felt pain with you - but not nearly as much as I'm sure you're feeling (understatement of the year). 
Who cares what I say... I feel silly even trying to write anything back after reading your post. I'm just so sorry you're going through something that's understandably so devastating, but I can only wish you the best, keep you in my prayers and hope that you're back here soon.
And I commend you for getting a second opinion before having the procedure. I'd do the same. Was the doctor in there to confirm? Can he be this time?

reading YOUR post made ME cry although i've been crying for close to 2 days straight now...
i used to work at the office 1998-2004 and both of the sono techs worked there before me, during me and since me. i know the doctor doesn't question them for a moment, and if they questionned themselves, they would ask him to confirm.
i spoke to the girl who manages the office, as i'm closest with her - and asked what she thought about coming in for another sono... she said i'm not the 1st who felt that way, and she could tell by my voice i needed it. she had me come in on my way to the hospital, through the back door and just fit me into the schedule. it was quick, as there was no reason to dwell - but it was a different sono tech - and she pointed out immediately where the heartbeat *should* be and wasn't. and she turned on the volume for it as well, and there was nothing where last time there had been a strong loud heartbeat at 160 bpm. it gave me the piece of mind i needed that going through with the d&c was the best choice i could make right now, and that's all i could ask for. the picture is ingrained in my memory as it truly looked like a baby for the 1st time. probably the hardest thing i've ever had to look at, and i've looked at a lot. this is truly the most devestating experience of my life. i feel broken.
all i can say is that the sono techs, doctors and staff at the office, as well as everyone i came in contact with at st charles hospital, made this as tolerable as they could, and i truly felt compassion from everyone - and that's all i could really ask for right now.

I am so very sorry for your loss!! It's a horrible feeling as I had an early miscarriage myself. I also felt like I would never get over it.....one of the worst things I've ever been through!!! If you need anything at all please feel free to FM me!!
