Those of you hosting Thanksgiving....
What type of Turkey do you prefer to purchase for the holiday?
I was in the grocery store and saw so many choices and have no idea which one I should buy.

Re: Those of you hosting Thanksgiving....
We get butterball every year. But for christmas we usually get the free turkey from stop & shop, and they are pretty good.

Re: Those of you hosting Thanksgiving....
ok, I just saw an american's test kitchen show, where they blind taste-tested numerous frozen and fresh turkeys....
believe it or not, FROZEN won.... specifically, KOSHER frozen. Frozen, becuase 'fresh' isn't REALLY fresh, they're half frozen, which apparently does more damage to the meat than completely freezing it... leading to a blander taste.... KOSHER becuase they're salted in brine before freezing, and of course salted meat tastes better than unsalted, and it's quite difficult to salt a bird properly without brining it.... and who does THAT?
