Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
How does that work exactly?
Do you put them to bed at the same time?
Do they talk, get up, etc?
I'm just preparing for the future and really wonder how the boys will do in one room someday. It's a scary scary thought

Re: Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
My sister and I used to share a room (up until I was 8 or so) and we went to bed at the same time....and often were chatting and giggling in each other's bed.

Re: Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
I have 3 in a room actually, but only on the weekends. During the week it is 2. The two little girls go to bed at the same time, and they do 'talk' to each other sometimes. They are both still taking naps (they are 2 and 1 yrs old) but I keep them separate for naps. When all 3 girls are together, the oldest goes to bed 1-2 hours after the little ones do, so they are already asleep when she comes in. In the mornings my 2 year old usually wakes everyone up! Luckily, she is still in a crib so she can't do too much damage!

My sister and I always shared a room until we were 11. We are 15 months apart. We both had a twin bed. No giggling or talking was allowed. For some reason, we listened to our parents.

Re: Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
The girls have been sharing since June and they LOOOVE it!
They go to bed at the exact same time. There is no talking, laughing or anything. That's not my rule; that's just how they like it I guess.
In the morning, I usually see a little mop-top alongside my bed whispering, "Is it OK to play now?" And when I say yes, she scurries back to her room and I hear the two of them giggling and playing.
Just this morning, Patrick sighed loudly and Katherine said, "That's just what Abby sounds like when she first wakes up."

Yes, they go to bed at the same time, always, unless one of them is sick. This is for naps too. They are still in cribs, but they talk and fool around for sure. This is one of the reasons I am holding off on putting them in beds because I know they will run around and play with each other until they collapse on the floor from exhaustion! They love it though, they always ask where the other is if one is not in there. At some point DS will be on his own and DD and DD #2 (who isn't born yet) will share, but probably not for long while.

Re: Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
You know the boys share a room. It's actually going better than I thought it would. They don't go to bed at the same time but i'm sure they will at some point. The only problem I have is Rylan calls me in maaaaany times every night so I have to go running so he doesn't wait Xavier up. I can't see that lasting forever.

Re: Those of you who have two kids sleeping in one room
We started putting Ainsley in the room with Kaydyn when she was about 4 months old.
We put Kaydyn to bed first around 8:30/9. Ainsley gets her last bottle around that time in our bedroom and then we put Ainsley in her crib around 9:30. If Kaydyn is still up and Ainsley is still up Kaydyn sometimes talks to her or tells her to be quiet if Ainsley is crying/whining.
In the morning sometimes they "talk" to each other (Kaydyn talks, Ainsley babbles).
I'm sure as they get older and Ainsley can actually talk, they will talk to each other before bed and in the morning.
