those pregnant with second or third
with #1 i had a really tough labor. was in labor for about 18 hours- onyl 6-7 hours in hospital though, was having contractions at home for a long time that were 6-7 minutes apart. had back labor, and was non stop vomiting almost the whole time. got to the point where i was vomiting up blood- it was from irritatiing GI tract. anyhow, i am only 13 weeks now, and EXTREMELY nervous aobut labor again. anyone had an difficult labor with #1 and an easy labor with #2?

Re: those pregnant with second or third
yes yes yes...Labor with my son was very long and hard. My labor started on a Sat at 12am....and I didn'thave my son until Sunday 7:48 am. I only had to push a few times and he was born. That was the only good thing.
DD #2- I didn't really even know I was in labor until about 8:00pm or so. It wasn't that bad. I got to the hospital around 10:30pm and was in tons of pain. she was born at 11:33pm with just 2 pushes..I will say I remember the pain more with my daughter though because I was too far along for an epidural. With my son I had demoral so I was very very loopy.
Hope that gives you some hope. Don't feel bad either because ever since I found I out I was pregnant with #3 I just keep thinking about labor and how painful it was. My doctor actually told me he will probably induce me because I don't want any pain this time...and it moved quickly.

Yes, my labor with my first was HORRIFIC. None of my subsequent labors have ever come close to that kind of pain.
