Those that had their floors refinished...

Are you able to clean them right away after your able to walk on them? Are you limited as to what your able to using to clean them right away? I know he told us not to put an area rug down for 2 weeks.

I beleive I waited at least a week after they were completely 110% dried---before I cleaned them. Even then, I was paranoid.......LOL

Dh used to do wood floors...you shoudl really wait 30 days before putting a large carpet down on the floor..so the finish can cure. If you put it down too soon, especially in the warmer months, the floor could cure at different times and you could end up with the finish having two different colors.

you shouldn't put any product on them for 30 days but you can vacuum after 3-4 days.

also, don't walk on the floor in heels for 30 days either.

we had a month go by before we put anything in....but we did it before we moved in

we didnt put any furniture or carpets back on for a 9 days. I just really washed them for the first time this past weekend and we got them done the last weekend in June. It was a gross long weight, but i didnt want to screw up all that money.
