Those that have a water/sand table...
How messy would it really be if i kept it inside? (girls are 27 and 13 months)
We just got a brand new one for free and outside space is extremely limited to only just a small deck with a flight of stairs, and the sand would fall through the deck down below to a neighbor...BUt i know the girls would absolutely love it

OMG I would never even consider putting it in the house.
But maybe if you just put water in it, it would be ok.....put a tarp under it though! Mine leaks.

VERY!!! Katelyn splashes the water and puts the sand all over the ground.

I don't even want to use mine outside for fear of how messy it is!

Re: Those that have a water/sand table...
when I taught Pre-K we always had one indoors. It wasn't so bad, but put a towel or something under it and plan to sweep or vaccuum after each use and closely supervise. To me the clean up was worth the experience the kids got out of it.

Ditto! But if you put a blanket down or maybe plastic bags underneath it...it's definitely doable!

Re: Those that have a water/sand table...
You could put only a tiny bit of water in it, no sand. That way if there wasn't much water, it wouldn't cause too much of a wet mess.
DD loves to play with hers even if it's empty-- boats, shovels, etc.
