Those who delivered at South Nassau...
Do they really enforce the rule for children under 12? I know they allow siblings, but my niece and nephew want to visit (AGES 6 & 4). TIA!!

I was there last October and that was the rule...Call the hospital. They should be able to tell you...

Yea, they said it at the hospital tour. I just wondered if they enforced it. Do siblings get bracelets?

They have security at the lobby. I know the kids will be allowed in the waiting area on the maternity floor. But past there they won't be allowed. They can see the baby if he/she is in the nursery...

My nephew was in the room if you didn't notice  but I'm sure they found a way to get him in even of he wasn't allowed.......

I delivered in August, my sister came by to visit and brought an army of kids (she has 3 and was babysitting another 4!!) all ranging in ages from 2-11!

my neices--1 & 3 came right into my room and were walking the halls. no one said a word to them

I used to work in Security at that hospital. I don't know why they are so lax on it now. I wasn't allowed to let any children in unless the were sibling's.

I was there and there where kids on the floor that where not siblings. Just tell security they are siblings and then once you are up stairs they are soo nice, and as long as the kids behave I am sure that they will let them in. My neices where 7 and 10 and no questions where asked and they visited me 2x.
