Those who had progesterone issues?

I've had another chemical pgChat Icon . Here's what I've noticed:

I ovulate on day 16. On about 3/4DPO I start lightly spotting. The spotting continues until I get full blown AF at 10-12 DPO. In the meantime, I get a +HPT at about 10DPO that stays faint until I get AF.

Would this be a progesterone issue you think? I put in a call to my OB and am waiting for her to call me back, but I wanted to find out if anyone had any similar experiences.

Thanks.Chat Icon

Re: Those who had progesterone issues?

Sounds like it may very well be. I had a m/c last year, then got pg again 3 months later and during my 1st round of bloodwork my progesterone was low. So my OB put me on suppositories immediately, which I stayed on until I was about 16-20 weeks (can't remember which week.) I'm not sure how it would work getting progesterone prior to blood work though. I hope your OB can shed some light on it. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Those who had progesterone issues?

It could be progesterone or it could be many different other things. For me, I didn't have any spotting or anything to indicate I had low progesterone. I did have a chemical pregnancy prior and I didn't have spotting with that either. Sometimes chemical pregnancies are due to chromosome issues or other defects. I am sorry you are going through this and I hope your OB can give you some good info. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Those who had progesterone issues?

I had the same exact thing happen two months in a row back in Feb & March. Then my OB started testing me at 7DPO. The 3rd PG my prog was low and she put me on supplements at that time. i still MC but i made it to 6-7wks that time. The 4th PG it was low and I'm on supps again...

Note, I have a 2yr old DS and did not have this issue.
